For successful advocacy and presentation of evidence it is key to have comprehensive and current data sources to support the arguments made at a national level. But while the principles of equity and racial justice rare are clear, the status of implementation and application varies greatly between sectors – which is not surprising given the differing objectives, cultures, and operational structures. Therefore, CNERJ commissioned or co-funded research reports by respected experts in 15 key areas including business, education, employment, government, arts, sport, and health sectors, based on latest data in order to capture the current status per sector. These insights grounded in current data highlight key barriers AND the actions needed to effectively advance racial equity and justice in Canada’s society today.
